Summer 2007. All of these 'hens' have many little 'chicks' at their base!
Fall 2007. They started getting these purple tips.
March 2008. This is their color after a long, cold winter. I wish they'd stay this way!
May 2008. They are losing their purple color, but the 'chicks' are getting so big now! Some of them are as big as the original 'hens' when they were given to me in Fall 2006.
Planted 2 in Spring 2007. Location: Just East of the Hawthorn.
