Aster 'Elizabeth'

In bloom, Fall 2007
The flowers are a very vivid purple--more than this picture shows.
The crown (much bigger this year!), just starting to grow, March 2008.Planted 1 in Spring 2007. Location: Between Hawthorn and Maple.

Christy, just checking out your garden blog for fun! Nice work! Good photos, too! We had a gorgeous bush with purple flowers on it all summer. Now I think it must be an aster. I don't know. My dad dug it up from his yard. Do you have really thick clay soil there like we do here? What plants have been working for you? I need to seek your advice come Spring, I can tell!
