Cotaneaster

Chris planted this Cotaneaster at my parent's house a few years ago when we were on a vacation. Once we moved here, he transferred it over to his Bonsai Garden. It's growing well (a little too well) now.

Tulipa 'American Dream'

Wow, this tulip is so beautiful. It is definitely my favorite of all of those that I have in my yard. It's a chameleon tulip--as it ages, it turns less yellow and more red. All of these pictures are from my garden (April 2008), and I've tried to put them more or less in order of how their color changes. Oh, one more great thing: they positively glow in the sunlight. I wish I'd put them in the front yard for everyone to see!

Planted 30 in Fall 2007. Location: North bed, between cherry and Hawthorn. Also near 'Oshio Beni' Maple in East beds.

Began blooming April 18, 2008.

Hibiscus

This is an unidentified Tropical Hibiscus that Chris and I brought back from our Honeymoon in Hawaii. It finally bloomed for the first time recently! The bloom is smaller than a normal hibiscus (2-3 inches across), and is fringed, which I've never seen.
